RICHARD KEYS has opened up on how new wife Lucie stole his heart and left the presenter “blown away.”
Former Sky Sports host Keys, 69, is back in the UK after 13 years in Qatar with pal Andy Gray.

And he is keen to address how he is viewed in a first interview since returning.
Keys, previously at beIN Sports, told The Daily Mail: “Disgraced and hairy, that’s all your lot [the media] ever call me.

He explained: “Honestly – and I haven’t said this to anybody – the perception of me is: ‘Old man who left his dying wife for his daughter’s best friend.’
“No one’s ever bothered to ask: ‘Is that true?’

When asked if it is true, he replied: “Of course it isn’t.”
Controversial figure Keys has continued to make headlines ever since moving to the Middle East.
He split with wife of 34 years Julia in 2016, nearly a decade after she was diagnosed with thyroid cancer.
Julia was in remission when they divorced, and seven years later Keys remarried, this time to Lucie.

His new wife is 31 years his junior and the blonde has been at the centre of much speculation and attention.
In 2023 they tied the knot, and Keys said: “I fell in love again, totally unexpectedly. I just got blown off my feet.
“It was with someone who was not my daughter’s best friend but had spent time in her company.”
It has been claimed that Lucie was very close with daughter Jemma.
But he added: “My wife had cancer nearly 10 years before I left home.
“‘Recovered’ is a hard word with cancer, because you’re always aware of it, but she was not dying of cancer and I’m pleased to say she is still with us and hasn’t died.
“So the narrative suited those that wanted to find a reason to not like me.”
And despite being just months away from his 70th birthday, Keys has not discounted having another child.
He admitted: “I think I’ll answer that honestly as well. I don’t have the right at my time of life to say to Lucie: ‘You cannot be a mother.’
“If she said she wanted children, then I need to partake in that.”
