FRANKIE DETTORI has pulled out of his racing return – with the legendary jockey still recovering from his car crash.
Iconic rider Frankie, 55, was set to contest next Saturday’s Leger Legends race at Doncaster as part of the St Leger festival.

He has looked fit and healthy when seen in the parade ring recently as part of his new job with Amo Racing.
But the stresses of race-riding are a completely different beast and Frankie admitted he is not well enough to get back on a horse just yet.
He said: “I’m really sorry I won’t be riding in the Legends race.
“I tried, I’m not fit enough. I still feel the effects of the car crash I had at the beginning of July.
“But I will be there to support my fellow jockeys for the Injured Jockeys Fund.
“I’ll also be there on the Saturday to support our oldest Classic, the St Leger.
“I’d like to apologise that I can’t make the race this year and hopefully I’ll be there next year.”
