JAMAL MUSIALA scored on his first start for Bayern Munich since his terrifying collapses in pre-season.
The German star collapsed twice on the pitch within days before the 2026/27 Bundesliga campaign started.

Musiala, 23, was diagnosed with a “neurological dysfunction” that caused “absence seizures” – but said it was “temporary and easily treatable”.
He made his first start since the horrifying moments in the Champions League fixture against Bodo/Glimt.

And the midfielder made his time on the pitch count as he scored Bayern’s opening goal early in the second half.
Musiala turned well in the box before lashing home a powerful effort to find the net.

After wheeling away in joy, he then unveiled a brand new celebration.
He appeared to look to the stands and repeatedly pointed to the side of his head.
Musiala was then joined by team-mates Aleksandar Pavlovic, Harry Kane, Dayot Upamecano and Alphonso Davies.

He then took a moment with Davies as they shook hands in continuing celebrations.
Musiala’s collapses against Leipzig and Heidenheim – the latter just eight minutes after coming on as a sub – were absence seizures, formerly known as petit-mal seizures, which are a type of epileptic seizure.
Typically diagnosed during childhood, they are caused by a temporary neurological lapse where the brain pauses electric signals.
Davies was one of the Bayern players to speak about the incidents involving Musiala.
He said: “These two incidents broke my heart.
“The doctors are doing everything they can to help him through this situation.
“The best thing we can do as a team is give him positive energy so that he can keep a clear head and fight his way through it.
“We’ll support Jamal, not just as a player, but as a person. We have to support him as a friend, like a brother.”

Musiala’s goal kick-started Bayern’s Champions League campaign as they went on to score four more to claim a statement victory.
Kane netted the club’s second before a brace from Michael Olise and a goal from Davies.
Manager Vincent Kompany spoke about Musiala after the game and hailed the star for seizing his moment.
He said: “I think I was just as happy as the people here in the stadium, and probably many more watching on TV.
“We knew this moment would come, but you can’t predict it – it just has to happen.
“And then it was also a really important goal. For Jamal, of course, this is fantastic.
“Now I hope the focus shifts back to his performance. Everything else is part of his life; he knows how to handle it, and he has our full support.
“Of course, performance is what ultimately counts. But I also want to work with good people and enjoy coming to work myself.

“We support Jamal when things are difficult – just like any other player.
“If Jamal’s focus is solely on his athletic performance, I’m not worried in the long run.
“The goal and those 60 minutes were important for him. He’s increasingly finding his rhythm.
