RICHARD Ashcroft is set for a lucrative seven-figure payday after landing the coveted chief support slot for Oasis’ 2027 tour.
The Verve frontman, 55, was a big hit with fans last year when he went on the road with the Gallagher brothers, so much so they’ve brought him back for their next stadium run.
The most recent accounts for the singer-songwriter show that he boosted his bank balance by nearly £1.3m in the year ending March 31, 2025.
While that date was three months before Oasis’ first reunion gig at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, the huge sum was documented as “deferred income”, which relates to services not yet delivered.

In 2024, Richard’s RPA Universal LLP had £513,512 in the bank, but the following year it jumped to a whopping £2,825,183.
A source said: “Liam and Noel love Richard and his music, and quickly signed him up for the tour.

“They know there is massive crossover appeal with their fans and Richard got them going perfectly last time out. It’s going to be an even bigger party atmosphere next year.”
The Jattvibe has contacted a representative for Richard for comment.
Richard released his seventh solo album Lovin’ You in October and headlined his own arena tour earlier this year before hitting the festival circuit.
So far, Oasis have announced 38 dates across the UK and Europe next year, starting at Celtic Park, Glasgow, on May 21.
The band declared earlier this week: “Come witness the fitness. It shall be a sight to behold.”
Last year Cast were on the bill too, and bookies have them as favourites to play a part in Oasis’ Knebworth gigs next September.
Manic Street Preachers, who performed on both days of the iconic 1996 gigs, are also tipped to perform.
Earlier this week, Noel ruled out any new music from Oasis, while Liam previously poured cold water on the band playing Glastonbury in June.
