HOUSE of the Dragon star Bethany Antonia is heading into the Strictly Come Dancing ballroom.
The actress has already conquered television, film and the West End – and now she’s taking on one of Britain’s biggest celebrity competitions.

Who is Bethany Antonia?
Bethany Antonia, 28, is an actress from Quinton, Birmingham, who studied musical theatre at Birmingham Ormiston Academy.
She began acting as a teenager, with early work including a short-film adaptation of Shakespeare’s The Tempest.

Bethany’s breakthrough came with teen mystery series Get Even, in which she played Margot Rivers.
The show follows four schoolgirls who secretly work together to expose bullies before becoming caught up in a murder investigation.

Earlier this year, Bethany also made her West End debut as Eurydice in the hit musical Hadestown at London’s Lyric Theatre.
What TV shows has Bethany Antonia been in?
Bethany’s biggest role to date is dragon-rider Lady Baela Targaryen in Game of Thrones prequel House of the Dragon.
The HBO fantasy epic is set around 200 years before Game of Thrones and chronicles the bloody struggle for control of the Iron Throne.
Baela is the eldest daughter of Daemon Targaryen and Laena Velaryon and rides the dragon Moondancer.
In 2022, Bethany joined the show in its first season and has since become a prominent member of Queen Rhaenyra’s faction.
Away from Westeros, she appeared opposite Helena Bonham Carter in Russell T Davies drama Nolly, playing fictional young Crossroads actress Poppy Ngomo.
Her other credits include the film Pin Cushion (2017), as well as appearing in massive TV shows such as Doctor Who and Doctors, and a TV movie of Sense and Sensibility (2024).

Bethany is one of the 15 celebrities taking part in Strictly 2026.
She said: “I can’t quite believe that I will be heading to the Strictly ballroom this September!
“I have grown up watching Strictly, and I am so excited to take the challenge on and (hopefully!) learn a new skill. See you on the dancefloor!”
The launch show airs on BBC One and iPlayer on Saturday, September 19, when viewers will officially discover which professional dancer Bethany has been partnered with.
