The Punjab Government is organising year-long events to mark the 650th birth anniversary of Guru Ravidas. While programmes are being held across the state, the government will also organise four processions in this connection.These processions will originate from Varanasi, Faridkot, Bathinda, and Jammu, and will conclude at Khuralgarh Sahib. Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema and Tourism and Cultural Affairs Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond announced this while speaking to the media.As part of these efforts, drone shows across the state, academic seminars in colleges and universities, essay competitions in schools, and discussions on the Guru’s sacred hymns are being conducted.The minister said following the arrival of all four processions at Khuralgarh Sahib, the main religious events would formally commence on December 4 with the beginning of “Akhand Path”.
