Former Congress MLA Parminder Singh Pinki has urged political parties to support Bhim Singh, father of anti-drug activist Parvinder Singh Jhota, if he decides to contest elections as an Independent candidate. Pinki said the move would help carry forward Jhota’s campaign against drug abuse. He also said efforts would be made to secure a Rajya Sabha seat for Bhim Singh if the Congress forms the government in 2027.
