A former West Point cadet who has admitted to drugging his pregnant girlfriend and forcing an abortion on her in 2022 was sued by his former partner last week for assault and battery. Caleb Suh pleaded guilty in June to assault resulting in substantial bodily injury to a dating partner, a federal crime in a maritime or territorial jurisdiction. Suh is attending a graduate program at Columbia University as he awaits his January sentencing in U.S. District Court in Manhattan, according to the civil complaint.Suh’s attorney declined to comment on the lawsuit when reached by Jattvibe News. Columbia University did not immediately respond to a request for comment. The victim, identified in the lawsuit as Jane Doe, was a freshman and cadet at the West Point Academy when she was in a relationship with Suh, then a sophomore at West Point, according to the lawsuit.Jane Doe became pregnant with Suh’s child and said she would not get an abortion, according to the Oct. 28 lawsuit filed by Jane Doe’s attorneys, Russell Kornblith and Lily White. In spite of her decision, Suh “repeatedly demanded that Ms. Doe terminate the pregnancy” and threatened to kill himself if she didn’t, the suit said.Suh admitted to impersonating Jane Doe to obtain medication from an online pharmacy in her name. He forced her to drink what he said was a pregnancy protein shake, which was spiked with the depressant Xanax, that made her sick and caused her to fall asleep. As she faded in and out of consciousness, Suh forced abortion pills into her mouth and vagina, according to the lawsuit and his guilty plea.Jane Doe awoke in severe pain and was bleeding from her vagina. She was rushed to the hospital where she learned she had miscarried, the lawsuit says. The victim “has sustained in the past and will continue to sustain … physical injury, monetary damages, pain and suffering, psychological and emotional distress, humiliation, and loss of career fulfillment,” the lawsuit alleges. Jane Doe is seeking unspecified monetary compensation and an acknowledgment that she was the victim of an assault and battery.
