A man allegedly thrashed his four-and-a-half-year-old daughter to death for not being able to write numbers till 50 at Jharsentali village in Faridabad.An FIR was registered in this regard at the Sector 58 police station and the accused arrested. He was produced in a city court today, which remanded him in one-day police custody.According to the police, the accused has been identified as Krishna Jaiswal (31), a native of Kheratiya village in Sonbhadra district of Uttar Pradesh, who lived as a tenant with his family in Faridabad.During the investigation, it came to light that Krishna and his wife worked in a private company in Faridabad. His wife worked during the day, while he went to work at night. The accused cared for their children during the day. He homeschooled his daughter.According to the police, the incident took place on January 21. The accused asked his daughter a write numbers till 50, but she could not do so. He got angry and allegedly thrashed his daughter to death. In the evening, when his wife reached home, she found their daughter dead and informed the police.A police team reached the spot and took the body of the girl into custody. On a complaint of the mother of the girl, an FIR was registered. Later, the police arrested the accused.“We have arrested the accused, who confessed to murdering his daughter. We handed over the girl’s body to the family after a post-mortem and are questioning her father,” said Yashpal, a spokesperson for the Faridabad police.
