Airbus Corporate Helicopters in Wings India 2026 has secured an order for three civil helicopters from a private Indian customer, including two ACH160s and one H175, marking the first induction of the H175 into the country’s civil helicopter market. The operator, already an ACH160 customer, will become the country’s first civil user of the super-medium, twin-engine H175 helicopter. The aircraft will be delivered in a 16-seat passenger configuration, with induction scheduled for 2026. The two additional ACH160 helicopters will be customised to the customer’s specific requirements and are expected to be delivered in 2027.Airbus said both helicopter types are well-suited for passenger operations, offering a mix of performance, range and cabin comfort.Sunny Guglani, Head of Airbus Helicopters in India and South Asia, said the repeat purchase of the ACH160 and the first-ever H175 order from an Indian customer reflected the increasing maturity of the country’s civil helicopter market. He said the helicopters were designed to meet evolving passenger transport needs while delivering strong performance and comfort, and added that the order underscored the customer’s trust in Airbus’ civil helicopter portfolio. The ACH160 is positioned as a premium corporate helicopter, combining advanced technology with a focus on reliability and design. Airbus said the model enabled business and private operators to maximise time efficiency, allowing rapid point-to-point connectivity while maintaining high safety and comfort standards. The H175, which sits in the super-medium category, strengthens Airbus Helicopters’ civil lineup with its versatility and operational flexibility. The aircraft offers extended range and payload capability, making it suitable for passenger transport across varied mission profiles.Airbus said the helicopter featured the lowest vibration and sound levels in its class and was equipped with the Helionix avionics suite, aimed at enhancing flight safety and reducing pilot workload.
