The reservations for the highly-awaited sequel have been progressing firmly, and the film is gearing up for a record opening. Surpassing the 50 crore mark in advance sales for the opening day on Sunday (Dec 1), ‘Pushpa 2’ now nears the 100 crore mark in advance sales for the opening day according to Cinetrak. The Allu Arjun starrer is likely to have a 200 crore opening with a day to go for the film’s release, and the sequel is anticipated to create a new record for an Indian film on the opening day.In advance sales, ‘Pushpa 2’ clocked Rs 30+ crore from Telugu states, and the domestic earnings have surpassed Rs 60 crore with Rs 3 crore each coming from Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Around Rs 20 crore has been added from the USA premieres, while the overall advance sales for the film from overseas are estimated to be around Rs 30 crore.
