The Haryana Police have started the process to issue a look-out circular against rapper-musician Aditya Pratik Singh Sisodia, alias Badshah, to prevent him from leaving the country, a day after he was booked over alleged objectionable lyrics and visuals in his recently released Haryanvi music video ‘Tateeree’.Meanwhile, Badshah uploaded a video on his official Instagram handle, apologising if anyone’s sentiments were hurt by his song. In a video story on his social media handle, Badshah said “he was a proud Haryanvi and didn’t have any intention to insult women”. He urged people to forgive him.The police have issued summons to the singer and constituted teams to arrest him. The police have also got the song removed from Badshah’s official YouTube channel and issued notices to social media platforms to take it down.The FIR was registered in Panchkula under Section 296 of the IPC and Sections 3 and 4 of the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act, 1986. According to the police, the video showed “minor girls in school uniform throwing their school bags and running away from studies”. They said words like “badshala”, which “misrepresented the school and educational environment”, and objectionable and indecent lyrics directed towards women and girls had been used.The police investigation also revealed that the video included a Haryana Roadways bus from the Jind depot and a government school campus being filmed. The police are investigating whether the officials concerned were “properly consulted” on depicting the bus and using the school for the shooting.
