Two suspects allegedly involved in the murder of a property dealer in Chandigarh have been arrested following a brief shootout with Punjab AGTF in Kaithal, police said on Thursday.The accused have been identified as Piyush Pehelwan, a native of Ferozepur, and Pritam Shah, a resident of Nawanshahr. According to police, both were apprehended after an exchange of fire during a joint operation.Officials said weapons and the motorcycle used in the Chandigarh crime have been recovered from their possession.Sources revealed that one of the accused, Rajan alias Piyush Pehelwan, had recently entered India illegally from Malaysia via Nepal. Both suspects have a criminal history, with multiple cases registered against them in the past.31-year-old Charanpreet Singh was shot dead in a brazen daylight attack near a gym in Sector 9 on Wednesday.Further investigation is underway to establish their role in the Chandigarh shooting and to identify any other accomplices involved.
