Child escapes gas cylinder blast in Ludhiana’s Janakpuri

A gas cylinder exploded in a labourer’s home in Indira Colony, Janakpuri, Ludhiana, causing significant damage to the property. The blast was powerful enough to collapse the room, but a special needs girl, who had just stepped out of the room, miraculously escaped unharmed.The incident occurred when the girl’s parents, Pushpa and her husband, were away working at a private factory. The girl, who stays home alone, had apparently noticed the pipe connecting the stove to the cylinder and moved out of the room just in time.The police, led by Satnam Singh, arrived at the scene after receiving reports of the blast, which was initially mistaken for a ‘bomb explosion’. The authorities are still investigating the exact cause of the incident.Pushpa Devi, the homeowner, informed the police that her special needs daughter’s quick thinking saved her life. The family lost many of their belongings, including clothes and household items.
