Samay Raina is one of the Indian comedians who often finds himself under the radar owing to his unfiltered humor. His dark comedy doesn’t always go down well with the audience, example of the same was seen in Kusha Kapila’s episode at the ‘Pretty Good Roast Show.’ However, currently it is his own show ‘India’s Got Latent,’ which is under the radar after a contestant from Arunachal Pradesh made controversial comments.During one of the recent episodes, Jessy Nabam, an Arunachal Pradesh resident joked about the people of her state. When Samay Raina asked her if she had ever eaten dog meat, she replied that though she hadn’t ever done it, people from Arunachal Pradesh do eat dog meat.“I know because my friends eat it. They even eat their pets at times,” she mentioned. At that moment all the members took it as a joke and one of the panelists, Balraj Singh Ghai even said, “Now, you’re saying it for the sake of saying it.” However, Jessy Nabam insists that it’s true. Reportedly, following this incident, a First Information Report (FIR) has been lodged against the ‘India’s Got Latent’ contestant over her comments. A copy of the same is going viral on social media. The copy states that the FIR, dated January 31, 2025, has been filed by Armaan Ram Welly Bakha, a resident of Seppa, East Kameng District, Arunachal Pradesh. It is addressed to the officer in charge of Itanagar Police Station, Arunachal Pradesh.Further, it alleges that Jessy Nabam made derogatory remarks about the indigenous people of Arunachal Pradesh on the YouTube show, ‘India’s Got Latent.’“I humble request you that please take quick action in this matter for in the future no one could do it again like Jessy Nabam did,” reads the FIR.Comments by Samay Raina or the team of ‘India’s Got Latent’ are awaited in the matter.
