The Delhi High Court on Tuesday directed that social media content linking Himayani Puri, daughter of Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein be removed within 24 hours after she filed a Rs 10 crore defamation suit.The court found that several posts and online material allegedly linking her to Epstein’s criminal activities were potentially defamatory and ordered their removal to protect her reputation.Himayani Puri’s petition seeks damages and a permanent injunction against unidentified individuals and platforms such as X, Google, Meta and LinkedIn from publishing similar defamatory content.PTI inputs
