A young worker was allegedly killed in shooting during a marriage function in Jalalabad town late Sunday night. The victim was identified as Karamjit Singh. He worked at a DJ shop at the venue.According to Fazilka SSP Gurmeet Singh, marriage function of Jaskiran Singh was underway at his residence in the Bahmniwala road area when a neighbour, identified as Sajan Singh, arrived there and began dancing.The SSP said Sajan Singh allegedly indulged in objectionable behaviour, following which the hosts asked him to leave the function. Enraged, he reportedly returned after some time along with his friends and allegedly opened fire at the gathering.One of the bullets struck Karamjit Singh. He was rushed to a hospital and later referred to Medical College, Faridkot, where he succumbed to his injuries this morning.The SSP said prime accused Sajan Singh had been arrested. His accomplices had been identified and would be arrested soon, he added.
