Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, who also holds the Finance Department portfolio, on Monday proposed a state budget of Rs 2,23,658.17 crore for the 2026-27 fiscal during the ongoing session of the Assembly, marking a 10.28 per cent increase over the revised estimate of Rs 2,02,816.66 crore for 2025-26.The fiscal deficit is projected at Rs 40,293.17 crore, or 2.65% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). The revenue deficit is estimated at 0.87% of GDP, while the effective revenue deficit is pegged at 0.41%.
