The Congress took out a march to the Haryana Vidhan Sabha in Chandigarh today to protest the alleged scams under the ruling Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) government.Led by Leader of Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda and state unit chief Rao Narender, the MLAs reached the Assembly complex holding placards and raising slogans against the Haryana Government.A sit-in was later organised on the premises in which MLAs, carrying rattles, continued sloganeering. Wrestler Vinesh Phogat also joined the protest.The MLAs raised issues such as the alleged falling standards of education, exclusion from the Lado Lakshmi Yojna, slashing of names in the BPL list, rising unemployment amid jobs being given to outsiders, collapse of law and order, rising extortion calls and ‘step-motherly’ treatment to sports and sportspersons.The Congress has already announced a gherao of the Haryana Assemble tomorrow to protest changes in MGNREGA.
