Many churches in Dubai also cancelled Good Friday services and stopped in-person gatherings from April 3Dubai: The Guru Nanak Darbar Gurudwara, Hindu Temple Dubai and Shri Krishna Temple in Bur Dubai have been closed until further notice due to safety and security reasons, as per instructions from Dubai authorities.The decision came on the same day several churches in Dubai also stopped in-person services following similar guidance.In a statement, the Hindu Temple Dubai management said the temple will remain closed until further notice. They apologised for the inconvenience and asked devotees for understanding and cooperation, while praying for everyone’s safety.Speaking to Gulf News, Surender Singh Kandhari, Chairman of Guru Nanak Darbar Gurudwara Dubai, said the gurdwara had received instructions to close from the Community Development Authority (CDA). He said the step was taken as a precaution for security reasons.The Shri Krishna Temple in Bur Dubai also announced its temporary closure from Friday, April 3, 2026, until further notice, citing safety concerns.The management apologised and requested devotees’ support.Churches also affectedMany churches in Dubai also cancelled Good Friday services and stopped in-person gatherings from April 3.
