Bumrah earned the ICC Men’s Cricketer of the Year distinction alongside the prestigious Sir Garfield Sobers Award following his remarkable performance in 2024. His achievements included claiming 71 wickets in Test cricket at an impressive average of 14.92. Additionally, he secured the ‘Player of the Tournament’ title at the T20 World Cup hosted in the USA and West Indies, where he captured 15 wickets in India’s triumphant campaign while maintaining an exceptional average of 8.26 and an economy rate of 4.17.His outstanding year was further recognised with the ICC Men’s Test Cricketer of the Year award, during which he set a record as the quickest Indian fast bowler to reach 200 Test wickets. His excellence earned him positions in both the ICC Men’s Test Team of the Year and ICC Men’s T20I Team of the Year.
