Kaveri Kapur, daughter of filmmaker Shekhar Kapur and actress Suchitra Krishnamoorthi, has made her Bollywood debut in Kunal Kohli’s romantic drama ‘Bobby Aur Rishi Ki Love Story’, where she stars alongside Vardhaan Puri, grandson of Amrish Puri. In addition to her debut, Kaveri revealed that she will also be part of her father’s highly anticipated film, ‘Masoom 2’.Talking to India Today Digital, Kaveri expressed her excitement about working alongside her father and seasoned actors like Shabana Azmi and Naseeruddin Shah in the sequel ‘Masoom 2′. She shared her joy at being part of the project, emphasising that no one knows her better than her dad, who will help bring out her best performance. While she feels a bit intimidated as the youngest member on set, Kaveri is eager to learn from the experienced cast and is confident they will be supportive and guiding. She considers herself fortunate to work with her father, whom she affectionately sees as her “little teddy bear.” Stepping back to view it objectively, she acknowledges him as a cinematic genius.Kapur further addressed the ongoing nepotism debate and the criticism directed at star kids regarding their performances. She acknowledged the pressure that comes with being a part of a film family, admitting she is prepared for potential backlash. She empathised with outsiders who feel frustrated about the lack of opportunities available to them compared to those from film backgrounds. She expressed that if she were in their position, she would likely share the same sentiments. However, she pointed out that nepotism is not unique to the film industry, noting that children often follow in their parents’ professional footsteps in various fields, such as medicine and law.’Bobby Aur Rishi Ki Love Story’ is a romantic movie currently streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.
