Lawyer on way to court shot at by bike-borne assailants in Amritsar’s Jandiala Guru

An advocate was seriously injured after being shot by three unidentified assailants in the Jandiala Guru area near Amritsar on Monday morning. His condition is stated to be serious but stable.As per information, Lakhwinder was driving to court when three bike-borne men with their faces covered intercepted his car and opened indiscriminate fire.Following the gunfire, Lakhwinder’s vehicle lost control and collided with roadside shops, causing further damage.The attackers fled the scene immediately on their motorcycle.Amritsar Rural SSP Maninder Singh said, “Investigations are underway. CCTV footage from the area is being reviewed to identify the assailants. The motive behind the assault is still being ascertained.”
