A tractor-trailer loaded with bales of straw caught fire in Jodhpur village of Abohar, when it was passing through the village on Wednesday.According to eyewitnesses, the 11,000-volt power lines were hanging very low along the road, causing sparks to fly from the tractor-trailer, and the fire spread quickly.Upon receiving information about the incident, villagers rushed to the spot and attempted to extinguish the fire. Later, two fire tenders from Abohar and Malout were called to the scene and managed to bring the fire under control.Harvinder Singh, a resident of Dhani Masita, and Bhinder Singh, who were present at the scene, stated that the main reason for the accident was the low-hanging 11,000-volt power lines. The locals demanded that the administration raise the power lines to prevent such accidents in the future and provide financial assistance to the victim.
