While addressing the crowd on stage, Singh made a comment suggesting sexual activity in cars as a way to cope with the cold weather. The video clip was widely circulated on social media and drew sharp backlash, with many viewers calling the language inappropriate.Responding to the outrage, Honey Singh shared a video message on his Instagram account, offering an explanation and expressing regret. He said his intention was not to offend anyone but to raise awareness about a serious health concern affecting young people in India.He said a few days prior to the concert, he had met some gynaecologists and sexologists at lunch. According to him, the doctors highlighted the growing prevalence of sexually transmitted diseases among the youth due to unsafe sexual practices.He said that when he saw a largely Gen Z audience at the concert, he felt compelled to convey a message about practicing safe sex. Singh said he attempted to communicate in a manner he believed would resonate with younger listeners, encouraging them to use protection. However, Singh admitted that his choice of words and delivery did not sit well with many people.Singh stressed that he never intended to hurt anyone’s sentiments.
