KAKINADA: A miscreant has barged into the house of former minister and senior YSRCP leader, Mudragada Padmanabham in the early hours of Sunday.In an offense of lurking house trespass coupled with causing mischief with criminal intimidation by causing nuisance at about 4 am at the house of Mudragada Padmanabham in Kirlampudi village in Kakinada district, the accused Ganisetti Gangadhar, who belongs to Gajapathi Nagaram village and claimed himself to be a Janasena party member, trespassed into the house along with a tractor. He smashed flexes with the tractor, dashed his car, and damaged it. Later, he raised cries against Mudragada, abused him with filthy language, caused nuisance, and threatened dire consequences.The police have arrested the accused and booked a case under sections 331(4), 324(2), 292, 351(3) BNS of Kirlampudi police station.Talking to TOI, Kakinada SP, G Bindu Madhav, said that the accused was under the influence of alcohol when he barged into the house of Mudragada Padmanabham and also has a slight mental imbalance. He crashed into the main gate with a tractor, which was brought without the permission of the owner. Later, he made three rounds with the vehicle and hit the rear side of Mudragada’s Tata Safari. When the police questioned him, he said that no one intimidated him to barge into the house of Mudragada. Quoting the statement of the accused during the investigation, the SP said, “His friend passed away recently and told him in a dream that Mudragada did damage the party. So, he resorted to this act.”Meanwhile, the top leadership of the YSRCP huddled at the residence of Mudragada Padmanabham. Former ministers Kurasala Kanna Babu, Chelluboyina Venu, and Dadisetty Raj, ex-MP Vanga Geetha, and ex-MLAs Dwarampudi Chandrasekhar Reddy and Jakkampudi Raja rushed to the residence of Mudragada and extended their solidarity.The YSRCP leaders demanded that the Janasena chief respond, as the accused claimed to be a Janasena activist. They made it clear that TDP, Janasena, and the BJP should be held responsible for this incident. Due to the complacency of the state government, they said that Redbook constitution is prevailing in the state.
