A national-level volleyball player lost his life in a road accident on Tuesday night.The deceased has been identified as Jasbir Singh of Mansoorpur village.According to the police, Jasbir was returning to his native village along with his friend Navneet Singh after visiting relatives in a Kheri Naudh Singh. The duo was travelling on a motorcycle when the mishap occurred near Dhollewal village.Eyewitnesses said that a tractor coming from the opposite direction collided head-on with their motorcycle, leaving both youths critically injured. They were rushed to a hospital, but Jasbir succumbed to his injuries on the way. Navneet Singh, who sustained serious injuries in the accident, has been admitted to a private hospital, where his condition is reported to be critical.
