Streaming platform Netflix on Tuesday announced a major collaboration with global K-pop sensation BTS, revealing plans to livestream the group’s upcoming comeback concert and release a documentary film titled BTS: THE RETURN.BTS – comprising Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jung Kook, will return after their hiatus that began in 2022. The group will perform at the historic Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul on March 21, with the concert set to be streamed live worldwide, exclusively on Netflix. The documentary film will premiere on the platform on March 27.Netflix shared the announcement on its official Instagram handle. “BTS x Netflix. BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG @ March 21, 8 pm KST / 4 am PST. BTS will perform at historic Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul. Live worldwide exclusively on Netflix. BTS: THE RETURN, documentary film @ March 27,” the post read.BTS: THE RETURN will chronicle the making of the group’s comeback album Arirang, offering fans a behind-the-scenes look at the creative process leading up to their return.Formed by Big Hit Entertainment in 2010 and finalised in 2012, BTS officially debuted on June 13, 2013, with the single album 2 Cool 4 Skool. The group achieved global breakthrough success in 2017, with their album Tear becoming the first Korean album to top the Billboard 200.BTS is set to release its fifth studio album, Arirang, on March 20, a day ahead of the highly anticipated comeback concert.
