Ruling AAP on Monday said grant of bail by the apex court to Akali leader Bikram Singh Majithia did not mean acquittal as there existed strong evidence against him.Punjab Finance Minister and senior AAP leader Harpal Singh Cheema said the evidence against the leader would be placed before the court. The party also reacted sharply to the Dera Beas chief’s visit to Nabha jail. The party’s Punjab media cell incharge, Baltej Pannu, said, “We Respect the head of Dera Beas. There are many followers of Dera Beas all over the world. But with due respect, I want to say that the head of such a large dera should, at the very least, not have gone to meet someone in jail.” Pannu added, “Saints and spiritual leaders remain detached from personal ties. As far as my understanding goes, this is how it should be.”Pannu also said the dera head should not have acted like a judge and have passed any judgment.
