Three officers, who were without posting for some months, have been given postings in the latest orders issued by Chief Secretary KAP Sinha on Monday. They include Vikas Pratap, who has been posted as Additional Chief Secretary, Technical Education and Industrial Training; Sumer Singh Gurjar, now posted as Principal Secretary, Defence Services Welfare; and Jaspreet Singh, now posted as Director, Industries and Commerce.Four districts have also got new Deputy Commissioners, with Himanshu Aggarwal and Varjeet Singh Walia swapping places as DCs of Patiala and Jalandhar, respectively. Akash Bansal is the new DC of Kapurthala, replacing Amit Kumar Panchal, who goes as DC, Muktsar. Abhijit Kaplish, who was serving as DC, Muktsar, now retains charge as Director, Mines and Geology.In all, 12 IAS and one PCS officers have been transferred. Among others, Kanwal Preet Kaur Brar has got additional charge of Commissioner, Faridkot Division, and Babita has got additional charge of Commissioner, Ferozepur Division.
