Punjab was second in terms of drugs seized by authorities from across the border after Rajasthan in 2025.According to official sources, 2,25,933 kg of drugs were seized from Rajasthan, while 1,16,695 kg were caught by law enforcement agencies in Punjab. In Uttar Pradesh, 80,331 kg drugs were seized in 2025.Meanwhile, sources said foreign-based elements were involved in facilitating narco-terrorism by pushing drugs across the border to generate funds for financing terrorist activities, with J&K and Punjab being among the key hubs for such activities.In 2025, 292 drones and unmanned aerial vehicle were seized along the border. In addition, 66 fugitives wanted in drug-related cases were identified in 2025. A total of 24 Red Notices and 25 Blue Notices were published for the fugitives. Further, five fugitives were successfully deported from UAE, Malaysia and Sri Lanka in 2025.
