Police investigating an alleged assault at St Pancras station in London are looking to bring a 42-year-old man into custody.British Transport Police said the suspect, from Bedfordshire, boarded a flight out of the country in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Officers were called to the scene just after 8.40pm on Monday following reports of an assault.A man was taken to hospital with serious injuries which are not thought to be life-threatening.”Detectives are continuing to work closely to progress the investigation and bring the man into custody for questioning,” a statement reads.
It comes after footage emerged purporting to show right-wing activist Tommy Robinson walking back and forth next to a man lying motionless at St Pancras.A concerned onlooker calls for help before Robinson shouts: “You saw him. He came at me bruv, you saw that, he came at me”.

Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, has since reposted a tweet which claimed he acted in self-defence.A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 8.40pm on Monday July 28 to reports of an assault at St Pancras International Rail Station, NW1.”We sent an ambulance crew to the scene and treated a man before taking him to a major trauma centre.”Jattvibe has approached Robinson for comment.
