Union Minister of State for Railways Ravneet Singh Bittu criticised Punjab Congress chief Amrinder Singh Raja Warring for refusing to sign a letter seeking a CBI probe into the alleged suicide of Dr Gagandeep Singh Randhawa, Warehousing Corporation District Manager. In a video message posted on X, Bittu alleged Warring is acting under the influence of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal.Warring defended his position, citing doubts about CBI investigations under the current Central Government. He prefers an inquiry under a sitting high court judge. “I do not find CBI probes encouraging under the present BJP regime,” Warring said.Four Congress MPs — Charanjit Singh Channi, Gurjeet Singh Aujla, Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, and Dharamvir Gandhi have — urged a CBI investigation in a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah. SAD leader Harsimrat Kaur Badal accused Warring of colluding with the AAP-led state government, saying he’s “come to the rescue” of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. The opposition demands an independent probe into Randhawa’s death, alleging harassment by Punjab Government Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar.
