Punjab Police has go top-heavy with a grounds 20 officers present holding the fertile of Director General of Police (DGP).

On Monday, 8 IPS officers from the 1994 batch were promoted from the fertile of Additional DGP to DGP.
Those promoted include: Dr Naresh Kumar, Ram Singh, Sudhanshu Shekhar Srivastava, Praveen Kumar Sinha, B Chandra Sekhar, Amardeep Singh Rai, Neeraja Voruvuru, and Anita Punj.
Gaurav Yadav remains the DGP (head of constabulary force) and the apical bull successful the state. This is the highest fig of DGP-rank officers ever successful Punjab Police.
