A new video of Sarabjit Kaur, an Indian woman who went missing in Pakistan during a visit with a jatha, has appeared in Pakistani media.The photo shows her sitting in a car with her lawyer. This suggests that she has been released from a women’s shelter home in Lahore.Sarabjit Kaur, 48, is from Kapurthala in Punjab. She went missing in November last year after travelling to Pakistan with a Sikh group to celebrate the 556th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev.Later, it was found that she had married a Pakistani man after converting to Islam and was living in Pakistan. She was arrested last month for staying in the country after her visa expired. Following this, a petition was filed to send her back to India.While officials were deciding her legal status, she was kept at Dar-ul-Aman, a women’s shelter home in Lahore.In the video, Sarabjit Kaur, also known as Noor Fatima, said that she has returned to her husband’s home in Pakistan.She reportedly said that they have been in love for eight years and that she wants to spend the rest of her life in Pakistan.Media reports suggest that she was released on February 11 after plans to deport her to India were put on hold.
