The Patiala House Court on Tuesday ordered the release of Indian Youth Congress (IYC) president Uday Bhanu Chib and nine other Youth Congress workers. The court’s order came days after the workers were taken into custody following a controversial protest during an AI Summit held in the national capital. After their arrest, all the accused were sent to judicial custody and remained in Tihar jail until the court intervened.Speaking after his release, Uday Bhanu Chib said, “We are Rahul Gandhi’s soldiers; we will not get scared. The Youth Congress’s fight against the anti-India US trade deal will continue,” he said, reiterating the organisation’s commitment to its political stand.According to legal proceedings, the Patiala House Court considered the circumstances of the case and ordered the immediate release of Chib and his associates, providing temporary relief to the Indian Youth Congress leadership. The development has been welcomed by the Indian Youth Congress, which termed the arrests unjustified and maintained that its protest was part of a democratic expression of dissent.
