Neelam Hospital has introduced Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI), a minimally invasive procedure for heart valve replacement, marking a step forward in cardiac care in the region.The service was announced by Prof. Himanshu Gupta, Director of Cardiac Sciences, who has been performing TAVI since 2019. After joining the hospital in November 2025, he conducted the facility’s first successful procedure.TAVI is considered beneficial for patients at high risk for open-heart surgery.
