In a concerted diplomatic push in Washington, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri held a series of high-level engagements with senior US officials, signalling a renewed momentum in India-US ties across strategic, technological and energy domains.At the State Department, Misri met Under Secretary of State Allison Hooker, where both sides undertook a comprehensive review of the India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership. The discussions spanned regional and global developments, reflecting a shared emphasis on closer coordination amid shifting geopolitical currents.Official sources said the wide-ranging engagements underscored a shared resolve to broaden bilateral cooperation in response to an increasingly complex and interdependent global landscape.The Foreign Secretary also held substantive consultations with senior White House officials, including National Security Council leadership. Deliberations focused on developments in West Asia and the Indian Ocean region — areas of growing strategic convergence between the two countries.In a separate meeting with Under Secretary Jacob Helberg, Misri explored pathways to deepen cooperation in critical and emerging technologies.
