The political battle over the Rajya Sabha elections in Haryana has escalated, with the Congress party publicly naming four of its MLAs accused of cross-voting, exposing internal rifts within the party.Addressing a press conference on Wednesday in New Delhi, Haryana Congress in-charge BK Hariprasad said that Shaili Chaudhary (Naraingarh), Mohammad Ilyas (Punahana), Mohammad Israil (Hathin), and Renubala (Sadhaura) voted in favour of the BJP.He added that disciplinary proceedings have been initiated against them and show-cause notices will be issued. The development comes after Congress MLA Gokul Setia staged a protest outside the party office, demanding that the names of the cross-voting legislators be made public. The protest was later called off after senior leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda intervened and persuaded him to withdraw. The Congress leadership has asserted that there would be no compromise on party discipline and that strict action would be taken against those involved in cross-voting.
