Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal promised to set up a series of new projects while at the same time bringing in industrial and agricultural reforms if his party is voted to power in the next Assembly polls. He was addressing the ‘Punjab Bachao Rally’ at Qadian here today.Badal said farmers who did not have a tubewell connection would be provided with one within a week of his party assuming power.“Not even a single tubewell connection was released in the past 10 years. Both the Congress and AAP cared nothing for farmers,” he added.“World-class water sports and tourism will also be started at Ranjit Sagar Dam. Emphasis will be on bringing in big time reforms in the agriculture and industrial sectors,” he added.
