By a rough estimate, the players will get the lion’s share of the reward money. The amount to the support staff will be decided as per hierarchy with the head coach getting the highest share. As per sources, each of the 15 players will receive Rs 6 crore each while the remaining Rs 41 crore will be distributed among the entire support staff.“On Sunday, India lifted the trophy after defeating New Zealand in Ahmedabad. The side successfully defended the title and became the first team in history to retain the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. With this victory, India also became the first team to win the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup three times, further cementing their place among the most successful teams in the history of the format,” said Devajit Saikia, Secretary, BCCI.“An amount of Rs 131 crore is being given to the winning team. This is the largest amount given to the team so far. I congratulate everyone — from players to the support staff,” said BCCI vice-president Rajeev Shukla. Now turn of state bodiesAfter the BCCI announcement, the state associations may now start announcing rewards for players of their state. For instance, Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) is planning to announce rewards for Arshdeep Singh and Abhishek Sharma. Both Punjab players are affiliated with the PCA. “Yes, we are planning to do so and the amount will be announced soon,” said Siddhant Sharma, joint secretary and secretary, PCA.The BCCI had awarded Rs 51 crore to the Indian women’s team after the side won the Women’s ODI World Cup last year for the first time.In 2025, India’s Champions Trophy-winning men’s team was awarded Rs 58 crore.
