Ludhiana’s Biney Jaura is gearing up for his big-screen debut with Punjabi film “Sunny di Honey”, slated for release on February 13. His journey is one of courage, conviction and passion for acting.A former techie working with Infosys, Biney stepped away from the corporate world to follow his artistic calling. “I started doing theatre during my college days and knew my heart is here,” he says.His early performances in theatre paved the way for a role in a PTC serial and web series “Yaar Chale Bahar” in 2022.After schooling at Guru Nanak Public School, Ludhiana, he completed a BTech degree from Punjabi University, Patiala. Biney’s path seemed destined for a conventional career. However, the stage proved stronger. He says his parents stood firmly by his side and never questioned his decision to leave the job for the uncertainties of cinema.“My parents have always supported my passion,” he added.On the storyline of his upcoming movie, he said, “It is about a shy young man living under his overprotective father’s shadow who dares to fall in love with a confident colleague. Chaos ensues as his father sabotages the relationship by introducing another man into the equation.”“Caught between rivalry, misunderstandings and self-doubt, the hero of the movie finds the courage to stand up for his love, confront his fears and claim his identity,” he added.With his debut film just weeks away, Biney looks forward to sharing his talent with audiences on the big screen.
