
Two boys, aged 12 and 13, stabbed at a London school are in a stable condition, police say.Officers are continuing to question a 13-year-old boy who was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
The attack took place at Kingsbury High School in Brent, northwest London, on Tuesday.Detective Chief Superintendent Helen Flanagan said the boys’ injuries were “serious” but not life-threatening and that they remain in hospital in a stable condition.Police and ambulance crews were called at around 12.40pm and the suspect, who had a weapon, was detained just after 6pm following a search.
In a letter to parents, the school’s head teacher said it was a “deeply traumatic event for the whole school community”. Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood described the attack as “shocking”.This breaking news story is being updated and more details will be published shortly.
