With the West Asia conflict nowhere near an end, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on Friday hold a virtual meeting with the Chief Ministers of all states to chalk out a coordinated plan as part of the national response.Chief Ministers of five election-going states will not be part of the meeting, sources said. They said Chief Secretaries of these states will be engaged separately by the Cabinet Secretary in another meeting. The PMO sources said the virtual meeting on Friday will take stock of the current availability of essential goods, mainly crude, natural gas and fertilisers, and determine gaps for redressal. The sources said India has enough supplies of fuel and there were no dryouts or stock outs anywhere. The states will be urged to check black marketing and crack down heavily on those spreading misinformation. The PM had earlier in his Parliament address reminded the country of India’s successful national response after Covid-19 and said states and Centre have to work as Team India to tide over the present crisis as well.
