A STAR-STUDDED lineup for the opening ceremony of the World Cup has been revealed, and for this tournament, there’s a historic twist.

WORLD CUP 2026 FREE BETS AND SIGN UP OFFERS

With this summer’s World Cup taking place in three countries, Canada, the USA and Mexico, there will be THREE opening ceremonies.

The highly anticipated ceremony in the United States will be the final of the three, taking place at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.

And for all three ceremonies, the artist lineups have been announced.

In the opening match of the World Cup, Mexico take on South Africa on Thursday, June 11.

Before the game, the ceremony will be headlined by Shakira and Burna Boy, who will perform ‘Dai Dai’, the official tournament anthem, for the first time live.

Alejandro Fernandez, Belinda, Danny Ocean, J Balvin, Lila Downs, Los Ángeles Azules, Mana and Tyla are among the other big names that will also perform in Mexico City.

The next day, when Canada takes on Bosnia and Herzegovina, Canadian Superstars Michael Buble and Alanis Morissette will perform at BMO Field in Toronto.

And at the final ceremony in LA, it sees American megastar Katy Perry and US Rapper Future perform just before the USA take on Paraguay.

When is World Cup 2026 opening ceremony?

The 2026 World Cup opening Ceremony will take place on Thursday, June 11, at the 83,000-capacity Estadio Azteca Stadium in Mexico City.

All the ceremonies will begin 90 minutes before kickoff, and the first in Mexico will start at approximately 11:30am local time / 6:30pm BST / 1:30pm ET.

The second Ceremony in Canada takes place on Friday, June 12, at the BMO Field in Toronto.

It is expected to start at 6:30pm BST / 1:30pm ET.

The third and final ceremony in LA takes place at the SoFi Stadium in LA on Friday night, hours after the Canada Match.

This final ceremony will start at approximately 4:30pm PT / 12:30am BST / 7:30pm ET.
