Iran’s security chief Ali Larijani on Monday said Tehran would not negotiate with the US as the Islamic country claimed that the nuclear complex at Natanz had been attacked. Denying the claim, International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi on Monday said there was no indication so far that Iran’s nuclear installations had been damaged in ongoing military attacks in the region.Addressing the IAEA Board of Governors meeting at the agency’s headquarters in Vienna, Grossi said the UN nuclear watchdog had activated its emergency response mechanisms to closely monitor potential radiological risks arising from the conflict. “The agency immediately responded, in accordance with our mandate, by focusing on possible radiological emergencies derived from the military operations,” he said, adding that the IAEA’s Incident and Emergency Centre remained fully operational despite communication disruptions caused by hostilities.
