Three car occupants died after their car collided with a tipper parked by the roadside in Maqsudan on Saturday morning.The car was so badly mangled that it took a lot of time for passersby and the police to extricate the two bodies that were trapped in the front seats.The body of the person who was in the back seat fell onto the road immediately after the accident, as the car’s roof had come off.While providing information about the accident, the police said that a speeding Swift car hit the parked tipper from the rear, resulting in the deaths of three people at the spot. The car’s speedometer was frozen at 150 km per hour. They said that the tipper driver had fled the scene but would be apprehended soon as his vehicle’s number was being traced.The car’s registration number indicates that its owner is from the Lamma Pind area. The police are still verifying the address.A PAN card was also recovered from the car. The bodies of the deceased have been placed in the mortuary. An FIR will be lodged once a proper investigation is completed, said the police.
