Three weeks after 34-year-old advocate Davinderpal Singh Natt, the son of late Congress leader Sukhraj Singh Natt, allegedly shot himself dead at his residence here, police have yet to arrest the Chandigarh-based builder named in his final note.Natt, allegedly shot himself on March 29 after accusing the builder and his two sons of failing to return nearly Rs 10 crore invested by him and his friends.The family had initially refused to cremate the body, demanding immediate arrests. They later performed the last rites on April 6 after the police assured them of swift action.The police have booked Binder Pal Mittal and his sons, Prateek and Bharat, associated with Sushma Buildtech Ltd, Chandigarh, on charges of abetment to suicide. Their bank accounts have been frozen, and a look-out circular has been issued against them by the Bureau of Immigration.Bathinda SP (City) Narinder Singh said, “All bank accounts of the accused have been frozen, and a look-out circular has also been issued against them. Teams are already trying their best to arrest them.”Before his death, Natt had reportedly recorded a video and left behind a note, alleging that he had invested around Rs 4 crore of his own and Rs 6-7 crore from his friends with the accused, who failed to return the money.Sukhraj Natt, father of the deceased, had served as chairman of the Punjab State Cooperative Handloom Federation Limited (WEAVCO) and had contested three Assembly elections from the Joga and Maur constituencies before his death in May 2020.
