The child has been identified as Nirbhay.As per information, the incident occurred around 7 am when the boy had accompanied his family to agricultural fields and accidentally fell into the borewell.Soon after getting information, officials reached the spot and launched a rescue operation. Personnel from the local police, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and the Army have been deployed, while Deputy Commissioner Ambala is monitoring the operation.The borewell is reportedly more than 200 feet deep. Heavy machinery has been pressed into service to aid the rescue efforts.A camera has been lowered into the borewell to monitor the child’s movement as the operation continues.
