A road accident took place near RK Marble on the Jaito-Bathinda road when a tempo traveller crashed into a tree, leaving five women injured. The group was traveling to attend a relative’s bhog ceremony.The accident occurred when one of the tires of the vehicle suddenly came off causing the driver to lose control and slamming into a tree.According to reports, the victims had hired a private school van for their journey. The vehicle was not at a high speed, which prevented a major accident.The injured women have been identified as Sukhpreet Kaur, Jasveer Kaur, Sarabjit Kaur, Jarnail Kaur and Jasveer Kaur, all residents of Deon village in Bathinda.A passerby alerted the Chardikala Welfare Sewa Society. Society member Meet Singh Meeta and his team rushed to the spot with an ambulance.
